hide behind

Sometimes we hide behind our fears. Sometimes we hide behind our pride. It could be insecurity, sensitivity and even hiding behind change. Life can be so funny sometimes...You think you have certain things figured out but then out of nowhere it's those things that look radically different.
Why do we think there has to be some magical way to understand certain aspects in order to live happy. Hiding is not a source of living. Hiding only causes us to miss out on the things that were given to us for joy. Things to make us laugh. Things to make us blush. Things make us love. Who wants to miss out on that?

Leave the hiding for a game of Hide -N-Seek!

Start embracing the joy. Embrace the laughter, the blushing and the love!

Unfortunately, hiding is what human beings do best. This doesn't necessarily stop when we get saved. Mostly, we try to hide from ourselves. We don't want to look in the mirror and see the truth about who and what we really are. If we did, we would have to recognize our complete depravity and utter need for God's grace. Once a person can come to that place God can show them how much He truly loves them; because, for the first time they are being honest with themselves and God. A joyful life comes from living in that place. Knowing that His grace is a gift we could never hope to earn or hold onto, only continually recieve from a loving Father. Then every moment, laugh, friendship, blade of grass, and star filled night is one more graceful moment of joy with our Savior Jesus. Many people fill their time with things and activities to avoid this truth. We don't need to work ourselves up to change or do great things, He simply walks with us and we are made whole and new. It is His work in us that brings fruit both for ourselves and others. This is what walking with Him means.
