Pondering

Pondering is a word that is often used when you're thinking about something, while also trying to figure why or how it's going to happen. So far I have been pondering for that last three or four days about all sorts of things. Mainly just life in general.
You know how when you're little, you get so excited about the small things like sleepovers, and candy bars from the gas station, oh and riding your bike against the wind just to see if you can. Well as you get older, I guess it takes more to excite you. When you were little hanging out with friends was the greatest, but when your older other things seem to step in and become more important. Why is that? So I know, you're wondering what is she talking about...well I've been pondering what's true and genuine in my life and this weekend I figured it out..that's all!
I've been home for a bit and I've gotten the chance to spend time with some amazing. Emily and I spent some time catching up and of course shop...that's what we do best! We had two sleepovers, with one more to go!
Megan, gosh I missed her, and I went searching for the perfect costume. She ended up with the cutest pirate costume and I ended up with a wig, but a cute one!!! Carrie and Elizabeth, oh my were do I start, well we had a friends marathon while eating yummy ice cream. I watched Carrie dance around her room, which I must say was cute. Oh and I almost forgot...stalking on Facebook(it's not a party without some Carl in our lives).
I got to see Yam, Jesse, Aaron, Downey, Josh and Michael at my second home...oh and watch some tear jerking Home Makeover! Love it
It has been a splendid weekend and I will be sad when it is over...but I'm excited about getting back on the road! Gosh, so excited!!!

The First FX

You know how each day you learn something new, well today I learned a couple of new things! I learned that banana fritters are delicious! What are banana fritters, you ask? Picture a funnel cake from the State Fair with a banana smashed in the middle. That's what a fritter is and I admit it's amazing!! I learned that mixing punk rock and hip hop sounds sooooo good. (Especially if it's Group 1 Crew and Eleventyseven!ok ok...so I'm promoting) I found out you should never let Matt color on your hand with a sharpie(unless you like dead people or demonic cats). You know what's crazy...People really can escape from chains and coffins with no problems. Oh Peanut Butter, Mayo and Bananas smashed together and spread onto bread makes a weird but great sandwich. If you need reassurance, just ask Jonathan! And lastly, I have a new found love for unicorns, just read my shirt! What a crazy day full of learning new things!

Today was the last day of our Williamston FX show. It was awesome. Each night the attendence increased and so did the number of people who got saved! What a crazy thing to experience. God truly moved in this town. Despite some sickness and some rowdy kids in the audience, this was such an amazing show and I can't wait till we all get together again in Alabama....two weeks away!!!!

So with like 20 mins left in the day we are going to play this cool game called Light show! Explanantion...Click the light on and off while making crazy poses. I know it sounds dumb but when you have 9 people crammed in a hotel room, you have to have some kind of entertainment!

God is amazing

God has always blown my mind by the places and situations he has put me in! He always seems to give and take at the most perfect times in my life, even though it takes me a while to realize it. I'm not going to backtrack because you would be reading for days, so I'll just fill you in on the things God is doing right now in my life....
About three weeks ago my world was turned upside down, but in an amazing way. I was offered a job working with Brock Gill, this awesome Christian illusionist/evangelist. In literally three days I accepted the job, withdrew from school, quit two jobs, packed as much as I could and moved to Nashville, TN. I was a little scared but the second I got into Nashville, amazing things began to happen.
Brock and Auny are two of the most purpose driven people I've ever met. Their goal is to share the word of God with as many people as possible, no matter how many miles they have to drive. God speaks through both of them and I can already tell that I will learn so much from these two.

So far I've been in seven states in about seven days...yes that's a lot of traveling! I have now been to Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and back to North Carolina. This little NC girl finally ventured out. It's about time!

Brock is teaching me some new things about food...bascially that it's all bad for you. He now has me eating organic things and helping me try new types of foods. I had sushi for the first time and I must admit I loved it. It had eel, crab and something chewy in it that I didn't want to know about, so I didn't ask. It was good, so I'll just stick to that!! This was only the beginning....i'll tell more later!

Besides new food, I am meeting so many new people. Nashville is like that greatest place to meet anyone you want. So far I've come across some amazing artists, and I believe it's only the beginning.

So much has happened in the past two weeks...I can't begin to explain every detail, so I'll just tell all about what's happening right now! I'm on the FX tour right now along with some incredible artists and athletes. This shows reaches so many who are unchurched and just broken. They come to this event to see magic, BMX, Skateboarding and music, but receive the message of God in addition. How cool is that.

On this tour are some awesome people and as I get to know them better, I'll tell you more. But for now I'll tell you a little bit about them. Kim, who is pretty much amazing, helps with stay sane. She has taught me everything and has become one of my favorite people. We make jokes and laugh like we've known each other for years! God has blessed my life with her!

The craziest guys I have ever met are called Eleventy Seven. They make everything so much fun, truly the life of the party. Matt, Caleb and Jonathan provide so much entertainment on and off the stage. The second I met them I knew we would be instant friends and not because we were at the Logan show together...(inside joke)! They make me smile and add so much enthusiasm to this tour! You need to meet them!!!

Another awesome group with us is Group 1 Crew. They are from Orlando, FL and they add soul and beat to the show. These three have been blessed with the gift of music. They draw the crowd and captivate with lyics meant to praise! Manwell, Blanca and Pablo are amazing and are a joy to be around. Esp. with Manwell's choice of movies....hahaha, just kidding Manwell!

To add some stunts and tricks to the tour, Chaos on Wheels and Tim Bryne hook it up! Choas has their BMX bikes everywhere and Tim's unreal skateboard tricks make you sit on the edge of your sit to watch! Tim flips a skateboard in some ways that seem impossible, but for him, second nature! He makes me laugh and when he's not switching the name of his wife(JK), he's coming up with new ways to flip a board like no one else!

Add in some crazy illusions provided by my new friends, Brock and Auny and you've one amazing show! Brock does some dangerous, and I mean dangerous tricks to get the crowd hyped. Can't tell you all about it but I'll just say there are some bullets, a revolver, a coffin full of water and even some chains! You'll have to see the show to understand, but it's worth the wait!
All these people make this tour amazing! This is ministry all about reaching the lost and strengthening the saved. It amazes me everytime I stop and think about it. What an opportunity to be a part of a minsitry like this! All I can say is, Thank you God!
